Whole Rests & Half Rests

Description:

Whole rests and half rests look similar to each other, but the main difference is that a whole rest attaches underneath the bar line. A half rest is above the bar line. While not used quite as often in snare drumming, whole and half rests are important to recognize for when they do make an appearance.

Extras:

Mr. Bean was supposed to deliver this extra. I think he's still on the way.

My Notes:

“Drummers don’t have egos – we let the guitarists handle that part.”

- D.J. Fontana (Elvis Presley’s Drummer)
